Our Sports Clubs are open to all children in Years 1 to 6, running year-round to keep our young athletes active, engaged, and learning new skills! We believe in the power of sports to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and foster a lifelong love for physical activity. With a wide variety of sports, there’s something for every child to enjoy and excel in, no matter their ability.
Every session is led by Mrs Ackroyd and another member of Barrowcliff School staff assists her. Our club not only focuses on skill-building and fitness but also on important values like teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Whether your child is trying out a new sport or refining their skills, they’ll have fun and feel like part of a team.
Sports Clubs run after school from 3.15pm till 4.15pm as follows:
Gardening Club runs all year round on a Thursday from 3.15pm till 4.30pm, and is led by our parent-volunteer Mr Hunter, and teaching assistant Mrs Webster.
Our Gardening Club offers children the chance to get outdoors, learn new skills and work together to help make our school grounds bloom. Pupils take part in planting, weeding, watering, and looking after a variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetables throughout the year.
