  • School Gate Opening Time

    Wed 30 Jun 2021

There have been an increasing number of children coming on to the school grounds before 8.40am and whilst we’re really pleased to see their enthusiasm, this is causing an issue as there are no adults present on the playground to supervise children outside before 8.40am.

For this reason, from Monday 5th July, the school gates will not be open before 8.40am and your child will not be able to access the playgrounds before this time.  If you need supervision for your child before 8.40am, they are welcome to attend our Busy Bees Wraparound Care provision.  Details are on our website or please telephone the school office to book your child in.

To access Busy Bees, please use the intercom on the pedestrian gate on Ash Grove and a member of staff will let you in.

Thank you for your continued support.

  • Barrowcliff BIG Community Clean Up - Friday 2nd July

    Mon 28 Jun 2021

Barrowcliff Big Local are working together with Scarborough Borough Council, Beyond Housing, Sanctuary Housing, Barrowcliff Residents' Association, Gallows Close Centre, SPARKS and Barrowcliff School to conduct a community clean-up on Friday 2nd July.

All organisations will be out and about tidying and cleaning the Barrowcliff area helping to keep the community clean and tidy.

If you have any large unwanted items at home or in your garden, this is your chance to get rid of them!  Please view the leaflet below for details on how to contact Big Local to arrange for a collection.

Children at school will be getting involved doing a litter-pick around the school grounds on Friday.

  • Ofsted Inspection - 22nd June 2021

    Mon 21 Jun 2021

Ofsted is inspecting your child's school on 22nd June 2021 and we would like to know what you think about the school. Your views about the school are important to us.

If you are a registered parent or carer of a pupil at the school (including pupils on

sick leave or who are temporarily excluded), you can tell us your views about the

school by completing Ofsted's online survey, Ofsted Parent View, at:

    https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Ofsted Parent View asks for your opinion on some aspects of your child's school,

including the progress made by your child, the quality of teaching, how the school

deals with bullying and poor behaviour. It also provides a free-text box for you to

make additional comments, if you wish. The inspectors will use the online survey

responses when inspecting your child's school.

To register your views, you will need to provide your email address, which will be

held securely. It will not be used for any purpose other than providing access to the

online survey. Neither schools nor Ofsted will have access to any email addresses.

Please complete the online survey as soon as possible, preferably by 11am on the

day of the inspection, as this will give the inspection team more time to consider

    your views.
