    We raised a fantastic £352.34 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal this year. Your donations will support the HM Armed Forces community past and present, and help the Royal British Legion continue their vital welfare and benevolent work.

  • Author Visit - Saviour Pirotta

    The children have enjoyed two great days this week with author Saviour Pirotta!  We have been entertained with stories and inspired to write our own.

  • Christmas Share Craft Morning

    We are holding a Christmas Share Craft morning for Years 1-6 on Friday 3rd December:

    9.00am-9.30am Refreshments in the Hall

    9.30am-10.30am Crafts in the classroom

    For health and safety reasons we regret we can only allow one parent per child to attend. Please come along and join us!

  • Children in Need

    The children have had a great day supporting Children in Need! Special mention to our Reception children who spent time this afternoon doing sponsored challenges set by the staff - they were amazing! Well done to all.

     

    We still have donations coming in but at the end of school we have raised a fantastic £294.15! There was so much cash, Mrs Beck filled the charity deposit machine at Sainsburys and had to go to Morrisons with the rest! Thank you to you all for your kind donations, no matter how large or small. Together we can make a difference.

     

    Reminder - we might appear on BBC1 tonight on the Big Sing-a-Long!  Don't forget to tune in!

  • Change to Menu - Friday 19th November

    The school kitchen are preparing a special hot lunch tomorrow for Children in Need day! Children can choose from chicken or quorn nuggets, chips, and spaghetti hoops or sweetcorn. They've also made special Pudsey Cakes for pudding! We can't wait to try them!

  • Artist in Residence Visit

    We will be working on a large-scale piece of art which will represent a map of our coastline. We will keep you posted with pictures and videos here and on our social media pages.

  • Children in Need - Friday 19th November

    We're having a non -uniform day on Friday 19th November to raise money for Children in Need. Children are welcome to dress up if they wish, as well as wearing odd socks, as this is something we're doing to support Anti-Bullying Week. We're asking for voluntary contributions, no matter how large or small, all of which will go to Children in Need. Thanks, as always, for your support.

  • Story Share - Thursday 18th November

    We are having a Story Share in school on Thursday 18th November at 2.30pm, for Classes 2, 3 and 4.  This is a chance to enjoy reading with your child.  Please come along, we would love to see you!

  • Pudsey Ramble!

    On 28th November, our staff and their families will be doing a 'Pudsey Ramble' from Burniston Nurseries to Hayburn Wyke and back to raise money for Children in Need.  The route covers approximately 7 miles.  Please support them if you can by donating either directly to school or on our Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/barrowcliffschool
