Reception Fieldwork
Our Reception children have been exploring the local vicinity (school grounds). This was linked to finding signs of Autumn.
David and Aimee were looking at the globe, David had already correctly identified the UK and Norway on a world map and the globe, Aimee was helping him find China on the globe after they had found it on the map.
Nursery children have been finding out about where they live.
The children in Nursery have been exploring their local environment. The children were provided with wooden blocks, some depicting images of local landmarks, for example the library, Proudfoots, and photos of Scarborough. The children were encouraged to talk about these landmarks, make marks related to them and build their own representations.
