We are aware that some of our families have experienced a drop in income or redundancy during the Coronavirus pandemic. Depending on how much your household income has dropped by, you may be entitled to claim Free School Meals for your child/ren and additional funding for the school for your child.
During the current rollout of Universal Credit, if your child is approved for free school meals they will continue to be entitled to them until March 2022. This is regardless of any future increases in your income.
To apply, you can download the free school meals application form on the North Yorkshire County Council website https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/free-school-meals, alternatively contact the school office on 01723 351767 or email admin@barrowcliff.n-yorks.sch.uk and we will send a form out to you.
We are also working in partnership with Barrowcliff Big Local and Magic Breakfast to deliver food vouchers and food parcels to our families that need them. Please contact the office on the contact details above if you want to find out more about either of these schemes.
